Scope Global is a purpose driven, Australian-owned business delivering international development and education programs throughout Australia, Asia and the Pacific.

Over 27 years we’ve managed more than 300 programs globally and mobilised over 10,000 scholars and volunteers.

We prioritise delivering outstanding value to our clients through our industry expertise and our flexible, highly responsive approach. We go above and beyond to ensure that the programs we manage are achieving our clients’ goals and making a positive impact in the lives of participants, communities and partners.

From our headquarters in Adelaide, South Australia to our international offices throughout the region, we are driven by our purpose to enable people to positively change their world.

Our people and culture

This year we formalised Scope Global’s 2018–2021 Strategic Plan. The plan sets an ambitious agenda of transformation and sustainable growth, while putting our people and culture firmly at the centre of all we do.

The Strategic Plan established a new set of values to reflect the essence of our culture. Our five values are one team culture, social change, sustainable growth, high performance and client focused. We have brought these values to life through workshops and initiatives, and through integrating them into our people and culture practices. In 2017–18 we engaged more than 260 personnel and for the first time ever, our workforce profile included a higher number of employees outside of Australia.

In  2017-18  we  engaged  199  employees:  86  in  Australia  and  113  outside  of  Australia,  as  well  as  a  number  of  advisers.  This  is  significant,  as  for  the  first  time  ever  our  workforce  profile  included  a  higher  number  of  employees  outside  of  Australia.  This  shift  led  us  to  focus  on  better  connecting  our  global  workforce  and  enhancing  collaboration  through  advancing  our  technology  and  introducing  new  systems.

In addition, two new policies were introduced to support Scope Global’s people and culture:

1. A paid parental leave policy, providing 10 weeks paid leave to our primary carers and continued paid superannuation for up to 12 months.

2. A paid domestic violence leave policy, including 10 days of paid leave.

New programs and activities

This year we started delivering the following initiatives for our clients:

  • Commonwealth Scholarships Program for South Australia (Australian Government Department of Education and Training)

Social impact

We’re committed to contributing to sustainable development and strengthening the economic, social and environmental conditions in the regions where Scope Global operates.

This year we continued our commitment to the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative.

Through our work and reach in 78 countries around the world, we’re contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals, especially:
