The New Colombo Plan (NCP) is a signature initiative of the Australian Government which aims to lift knowledge of the Indo-Pacific in Australia by supporting Australian undergraduates to study and undertake internships in the region.

The NCP includes scholarship, mobility and alumni programs, supporting Australian undergraduates to study and undertake work-based experiences in 40 locations across the Indo-Pacific, deepening Australia’s connection with the region.

Scholars undertake study programs of up to a year, language training and an internship and/or mentorship programs. The mobility programs provide flexible mobility grants for both short-term and long-term internships, mentorships, practicums, and research.

The growing community of past NCP scholars and mobility participants are invited to become alumni, maintaining an active connection with each other and the region.

Scope Global is proud of our longstanding connection with this signature initiative of the Australian Government, providing post-selection support services to the NCP scholarship program since the pilot in 2014.

Scope Global now delivers NCP Administration and Support Services on behalf of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. We value our engagement with the university sectors right across Australia and the region to ensure the success of the NCP.
